NWT 38R RLPL overcoat - simply magnificent!

I have a selection of new stock, but most will not be posted until the weekend. However here's a little taster of the kind of quality I have to offer.

This magnificent RLPL overcoat is my size, and I'm looking for an excuse to keep it! It will not end up on eBay if it doesn't sell and I will not be posting a price reduction on it. I will happily discuss sensible offers, so feel free to PM me. No really crazy low-ball offers, please - I'm not going to sell it for a couple of hundred dollars!

RLPL plaid overcoat - $1900 inc. worldwide shipping NOW JUST $1250 - see new consolidated sales thread in my sig!

Would retail for upwards for $4800, so my price is 40% of retail. Not my usual level of discount, but 60% off is about the same as a good end-of-season sale price at a Polo store. And items like this rarely end up on the sales rack.

8x3 buttons
2 outside flap pockets, 2 inside pockets
single rear vent
cinch button belt at rear waist
buttoned epaulettes on shoulders
basted sleeves for perfect lengths

tagged 38R
shoulder-shoulder seam: 17.75"
chest circumference: 42"
crown-cuff: 25.5" (+1)
length: 48.5"
waist at narrowest point: 38" (36" with back belt cinch done up)

Feel free to ask questions and make sensible offers.

Thank you for looking.

That's a perfect coat for fall. The epaulette straps add a nice touch to it.

Wow! How nice! It looks terrific on you. What material?

Those are really distinctive lapels.

I'm guessing cashmere at that price.

Surprisingly not - angora/wool blend.

The retail price is a bit higher than I'd have expected, to be fair, but it's printed on the bottom of the tag. Blame the dollar/pound rate the moment, I guess.

Best guess on material is Wool/Angora. It looks like the same material I have on a sportcoat. Very, very soft I might add.

To be completely honest, I was guessing the same thing. I have sold LBCS in the past, and the material looks almost identical. (85%wool and 15%Angora, if my memory serves me right)

Not quite, but close - this one is 75% wool, 25% angora.

I'm not sure which mill the fabric comes from though.

One thing I meant to ask -

What's the name for this style DB - is it a Great Coat? An Ulster Coat?
I would lean towards "greatcoat" though I don't know if it would technically be one. I'm sure someone else would know for sure.

That collar is an Ulster collar.

It's certainly a stunning coat, a lifetime coat.

So it would be an Ulster Greatcoat then?

(lifetime coat? Only if I never put on any weight! )

Once you own that coat you're no longer allowed to gain weight. That's the added cost, saves money on food, though.
