I could see Bernie and Lizzy run together, but do you think Randy and Teddy would even consider running together?

Isn't Bernie older than McCain was?

No, but he'll be older at the time of running than McCain was (Born in 41 vs 36 for McCain)

Nah, I was just throwing the two furthest right wing candidates out there, even if they're different types of right wing. The others are such amorphous blobs of political allegiance that they're all interchangeable.

I guess Santorum hasn't declared yet, so ok.

I really hate that we limit the conversation to one dimension "left vs. right" "us vs. them" etc etc.

Show me a functioning country where that isn't the case.

Santorum is such a perennial loser I almost forget he exists until he does something stupid.

How about all the developed countries that run under a Westminster system? Instead of a one dimension "left vs. right" there's a whole spectrum of parties and "us vs them" is not like it is here as there are multiple parties, and quite often, the need to form coalition governments.

I would say that's close enough to a dichotomy. When it comes down to it you have a yea or a nay. Maybe if there were a maybe we would have more parties. People seem to have this idea that the two-party system is inorganic but I would argue exactly the opposite.
