Not unless he got some electoral votes (and his total was more than anyone other than the two front-runners got).

When do candidates usually release their tax returns? Before or during the primaries? Hills just released hers today and for some reason I thought she already had.

I haven't followed, but maybe she released them back when she ran against Obama and is now releasing the intervening ones? Or something. If you'd asked me before the recent flurry of stories I'd also have said that while I haven't paid much attention, my vague memory was also that Clinton had previously released tax returns.

I notice they came in over the "Buffett Rule" this year. I hope someone has the energy to see if this is usual or just more staging for this year.

Correct, except he could be #3 in electoral votes.  Could you imagine a scenario where the election goes to the House, and they pick someone who got some trivial number of electoral votes?  I remember all the wailing about Bush v. Gore and the popular vote vs electoral vote.

Remember many states don't require their electors to vote the way the party does, so you could get some say #NeverTrump electors to cast votes for someone else which would make them eligible for the House to select said electoral vote getter.

Obviously it is all just crazy hypothetical, but it would be a hilarious ending to this awful election.

Yeah, under the tortured syntax that's what I meant to say.

He's alluding to the common origin of Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainians even used to be called Russians or Little Russians (or Ruthenians, which is basically the same word) until fairly recently.

The defense, that his vacation house is smaller that the average primary dwelling of typical Americans, is equally stupid.

Good. What kind of socialist is living in three homes, while the rest of us forced to work in slavish conditions for an unfair minimum wage?

Could you imagine Romney using a line like that?  Well, my third home is smaller than the average American home...

Anyone who thinks Mormons live in modest homes has never made the drive from SLC up into Little Cottonwood Canyon
