My own score: Johnson 87, Trump 80, Stein 59, Sanders 51, Clinton 31.  Of course I dismiss the Trump and Clinton scores as the former has no clue what he's saying at any time, and the latter knows everything she says is a lie.

Gary: 89%
Jill: 87%
Bernie: 86%
Hilary: 76%
Trump: 60%

Caught some of Hillary's speech to the NAACP during lunch. Very awkward. As she was speaking she ramped up her voice in anticipation for applause, and the room was completely silent. These points all centered around there being no justification for murdering police officers. Nothing from the crowd. This went on for several minutes, it was embarrassing. As soon as she got to the part about rooting out bias among police and mentioned the shootings in Minnesota and Louisiana, which are still under investigation, the crowd went nuts. The only neutral point I heard the crowd applause was "this madness has to stop."

Better late than never (me posting it, I mean).

HUD Secretary violates Hatch act, but as it was through pro-Hillary comments, it's no BFD.

The mother of Michael Brown will be speaking at the DNC convention. Completely appropriate - Hillary has superb judgement. RNC gives the stage to Marcus Luttrell, the DNC brings up the mother of a guy who robs a store, roughs up the clerk then goes on to assault a cop while trying to steal his weapon, all of which was confirmed by Eric Holder's DOJ and a half dozen black witnesses. I wonder if she'll walk out with her hands up?

RNC put on some racist character from a reality tv show, Chachi, and they exploited the grief of a mother whose Marine son died in the attack on Benghazi. They all suck, but you at least try to occasionally depart from outright lies.

As Italians are not really "white" can they be racist?

That joke works better if you direct it to Spike Lee or someone who actually claims black people can't be racists.

I take it we're talking about the Duck Dynasty thing and not suited?

Apropos of little aside from free association, that reminds me of some family lore. My grandfather immigrated here with his family as a kid, grew up on a poor Italian part of Pittsburgh, first in his family to go to college, blah blah. Had worked for a local doctor in high school; the doctor paid his college education and encouraged him to go to med school. Grandpap applied and got back a letter saying, "Sorry, we've already filled our quota of Jews and Italians".

Misread your post and thought you were saying Cachi is racist.

Willie Robertson
Scott Baio
Mother of a marine who died in combat

I'm not sure I see where you're going here. Which of those is comparable to Michael Brown? As far as I know none of those people are aggravated felons who had to be shot by a cop in a life or death struggle.

Nah, at least not as far as I know.
My point, to answer suited's question, had to do with the (@accordion) false dichotomy. Both parties are equally guilty of turning what's supposed to be in part a forum for addressing serious issues into a shitshow of shameless pandering.
I heard George Zimmerman is speaking at the RNC convention, although I haven't paid enoigh attention to know if that's accurate.
