Not Discovery, but this article says that the body absorbs about 4 glasses of water just from food, and a normal person probably only needs a little more liquid water to stay hydrated.

It is not obvious how they calculated this number (how much water the body absorbs per day) at all because different foods contain different amounts of water.
I do not believe people eat food based on the amount of water content food has so I don't how this article has any real relevance.
