$375 for Hugo Boss? Better grab quick, guys. This isn't going to last.

I bought five. Never know when a deal like this will ever come around again.

Pardon my ignorance but are the posts above in jest or are these mfd by a good maker? I have no experience with Boss shoes and in general do not buy this brand.

Hugo Boss is one of the secret great shoemaker, completely unknown outside of the true shoe aficionado circles. The name is commonly dismissed as fashion forward crap, but their shoes are an untapped bargain of the highest magnitude.

Completely handmade by little Italian paisons, using no modern machinery but callused hands and well-worn instruments, in tiny little shops dispersed in the backwoods (or is that mountains?) around the fabled city of Naples (or is that Milan?) I've even heard that no lightbulbs are allowed in the hallowed shoe shops, to the point where the artisans work only 2 hours aday, from 9AM to 5PM (that's including the lunch break, the smoking break, the coffee break, the Italian equivalent of the siesta...etc)

All in all, a great pair of Hugo Boss shoes at an outrageously low price of $375.

I was always taught that the stork brought HB shoes.

That's what I tell newbies too when I don't want anyone to buy these shoes. Sometimes a deal is just too good to let others know.

But I can be made to talk and divulge top secrets. Currently the enticement of choice are shell cordovan shoes, preferably Aldens, but AE's will do too.

The stork really has his work cut out for him this week! Gordon Rush AND HB in one thread? I hope we're not headed for another server-crash.

This is only slightly less weird than the time you linked to Kenneth Cole chelseas at $62, arguing that they were better than RM Williams (Which make you vomit, IIRC) or the time you said you'd been in the COle Haan store and found their shoes to be the equal of John Lobb. You are an odd duck.
