First off I will probably get berated for making this but really there isn't a great thread on it, a few old ones out there but not many brands listed so I think its justified. Just looking to get opinions on the highest quality dress pants out there or at least some high quality dress pants. I need to pick up a few pairs so that is why I am asking. I have asked in the new member thread and got a few pointers but would like more opinions.

If they make suits, they likely make pants. This should get you started....well that and Epaulet and Howard Yount

Corneliani, zegna, pt01,... There's a lot of italian companies who make great dress pants, especially the brands respected for their suits as Gauss stated previously

If your wallet is a little bit bigger this month, there is a brand called ''Kiton'' which gets lots love from this forum. Canali is an option as well, both brands are Italian so be sure to check measurements. As Italian brands usually runs very small.

''Some love'' requires that many people know the brand, i am not under the impression that many people even on this forum knows Incotex. Correct me if im wrong though, But i agree Incotex are nice.

Your impression is wrong. Incotex is a well known dress trouser specialist and recommendable. Another less known specialist is Hiltl. There were also always nice dress trousers on display at Paul Stuart - not sure who makes them for Paul Stuart.

The Paul Stuart trousers that I've seen were made by Samuelsohn. I agree, they're nice. Great cut IMO-- trim without being overly slim.

Hopefully I don't derail this thread, but I'm curious if any of these makers are known for making pants that are thicker through the quads/thighs. I've got big thighs and find many of the high end trousers are cut pretty narrow.

I know that in the past, Epaulet made a pair of pants that were cut with a thicker through the thighs, but I don't think they make them anymore.

I could be off the mark here, but is it possible that your experience is simply with mostly modern/slim/tailored fit trousers, and a more traditional, fuller cut would perhaps suit you better?

That is certainly a fair thought. I'd like to find trousers that have the right balance between fuller cut and still looking modern. I like the way pleated pants fit, but not the way they look. I like that cleaner look of flat front trousers. If you have particular brands or particular trouser styles that hit that sweet spot, I'd love to try 'em.

Seems like not many brands offer wool trousers in a khaki/tan color which is one color I really want. Easy to find cotton but I have a few of those already.
