Seems like a hugely dangerous move with a potential libel lawsuit if there's no evidence there. Don't forget the NE broke the John Edwards infidelity story.

I can't believe Cruz has that much game.

That's the most major issue I have with this story. The man is a disgusting physical specimen.

I believe wearing AE and BBQ are tradition for those who become president.

Apparently this has been known for some time, and Rubio's people were whispering about it months ago. I think they decided that

Gosh Ted Cruz, it's terrible that an opponent's campaign is releasing (possibly) false stories about you. Is it okay if we just go ahead and tell everyone that you've dropped out of the race?

Unless they totally fabricated the story, there is no danger of a successful libel lawsuit. How else do you imagine they can publish BS stories every week with impunity?

I mean, c'mon, surely you guys have seen this rag on the shelves at the supermarket?

I assume those are all actually real covers, but it's hard to tell the real ones from the parodies, so cut me some slack...

Let me elaborate on this (without going into too much detail) -- unless they totally fabricated the story THEMSELVES, they are basically immune from a lawsuit. All they need is some third party "source."
