I did team sports and we had to shower in gym (at least for swimming).  I also was in the Army, so I'm used to having to shower with other dudes.  I'm still not comfortable with it, so what?

Or, you know, a towel.

I saw an old guy air drying his junk on one of those heated air hand dryers once.

I think it's more like Caitlyn was comfortable taking this position as a model of the trans community and then out and said things that were widely considered insensitive by the LGBT community. Granted I'll never quite understand how they determine which knowledge ought to be commonly known, but Bruce/Caitlyn should have expected some backlash if she was going to put herself into that role without sufficient knowledge of the community norms.

My old gym had an old guy who loved doing that. He propped one leg up on the counter and went at it.

How do you know that? Are you in public showers with them to observe this. Now you are making up baloney as you accuse me. Show me the research that shows what you said.

Us left wing men (as you seem to think I'm left wing) have developed a secret. The secret is we talk to women as if they're, you know, our equals. This means they often share their views with us.

Of course this is predicated upon the concept that women will actually be around you and talk to you.

Dammit Piob, I was going to make a joke about women being unable to talk so you have to observe their habits in the wild, but you ninja edited your post.

CM moved so far to the right that Piob is left of center now?

It's also very culture/country specific too. My wife was very surprised to find out that even mixed saunas here in Germany are strictly nude.

Anecdotal evidence here: at the yoga studio I go to, I'd say the vast majority of men shower afterward, while I routinely see most of the women leave immediately after without showering. They go back to the locker room just long enough to throw something on over their sweaty gym clothes then rush off.

Women are our equals? Or different?
