I thought that the RNC adjusted the debate and primary schedules to increase the chances of getting a candidate locked up earlier.

I know they reduced the number of debates, just not sure how many. Less chances for candidates to point out each other's faults on national TV.

Yeah, that always seemed like a bad idea to me. Wasn't it Bush 1 that coined "voodoo economics" against Reagan in a debate?

Problem is just how many people are in the debate. Can't have a debate with 10 peolpe. It's not a conversation anymore. Just people talking past each other for 2 hours. Or everyone ganging up on the 'frontrunner'

Sure, but I much prefer hard-hitting questions like "What is your favorite soda?" and "In one word or less what is your philosophy on monetary policy?"
