i think these and other gucci loafers are fine to wear casually and they are fun to wear , but just be vigilant on pricing, no calf loafer of theirs is a good value over 300 dollars.
you can go to a gucci boutique during sales or to the gucci outlet in cabazon for many styles of loafers that are priced at around $240 , original retail at around $395-450.

Gucci is known for their annual sale during winter and most non-classic models always get reduced by 40%.

I think this style would work better with a brown shoe. That said, I’m not fond of the stripes. They make the shoe look too costume-y and are a poor combination to an otherwise nicely shaped shoe

I think that is one very ugly shoe.

I'm not a fan of this shape loafer. I don't think the shape is very cool or flattering. The toe is too flat across the front and it has high sides and front. If you want high side and front get a stylish tie oxford. Loafers, IMO look best lower (I think they look more comfortable to me) and they are usually MUCH easier to get on and off.

By contrast, I really like the look of the new Gucci loafer they are showing in recent ads. Kinda a modern version of the classic penny loafer and in navy no less. Yet, at $500+ I'm not sure of the quality value having not actually seen it. But it gets a star in my book for looks.

I don't think they look bad, but definitely not worth the $300+ they're asking.

But without stripes, I would have thought they are Kenneth Cole.

I think those look hideous. Anything with a lot of green and red gucci color or monogram doesnt look all that great. Its best to get the non classics on sale like shoe said for aroudn 240. You can always bet that theyll probably go on sale and at least one Gucci store will have a pair in your size. I have three pairs of gucci loafers all bought for less then 270 during the sale times

I've found Gucci loafers to be well made and having nice styles for what some forum members call "Eyetalian glue jobs". In my experience they are very soft, thin leather and need to be treated with a certain amount of delicateness.
