FWIW, an Ivy League education is not proof against idiocy. Some of the biggest fools I've ever met went to Harvard, Princeton or Yale. ( and let everyone know it)

Fine, then can we at least agree they're less likely to be an idiot, and that they will on average be more intellectual?

If I dated someone who didn't know how to use a fork, there won't be second date. I date only with the same socioeconomic background. That way, money is never an issue.

The no fork thing I get.

Dating only within the same socioeconomic background (however that's define), wouldn't be my choice.

I'm not sure your last point follows, though. Maybe it depends on age, but certainly when I was younger I knew plenty of folks who came from the same general upper-middle-class socioeconomic background as me but had wildly disparate current financial means, due to career choices and the like.
My wife's family had considerably more money than mine. When we started dating, I was fresh out of law school, working for a big law firm, making stupid amounts of money. She, having years before given her dad the finger and gone off to art school, was working as a gallery assistant and getting paid bupkis. The financial disparity wasn't an issue for me, but it was for her for a while.

I don't pretend to have it or ever talk about it though but I wear nice clothes, have a nice house, boats, and motorcycles so girls all the time want to come hang out or go out with me and I don't always feel they actually like me. You just have to try to learn to read them and ever since I had a girl basically propose to me after 3 months of dating thinking she'd be set for life I've been careful. I have $ now only because of my parents. When I graduate grad school I'm not getting anything else from them as I'm expected by my family to make $ on my own from that pt. The cool thing about where I live is I can wear really nice clothes and other than looking good nobody knows what they are

Aren't you that WeightPusher guy that lives in Applachia?

wow the worst thing is to marry a chick then find out she is pregnate and she quits her job to have a baby and then 5 years or 8 years later she still dosnt have a job. this is sooooo common in the U.S. that a few articles studies ect have been done on it. it happenes to about 50% of husbands who have to work extra hard on their free loading wife. but on an interesting note women who are scientists most of the time the type you call a rocketscientist its the opposite way around, their husbands tend to free load without a job while they rake in the big bucks.

What you you call "freeloading" a lot of people would call "staying home to raise the kids".

Yup. Not to mention those damn free-loading kids! Studies show they stick around for at least 18 years.

This thread is why the words "hit it and quit it" were invented
