I remember I read that they run one size bigger than marked.
Anyone has experience with Land's end sizing?

They run slightly large. I'm usually a 9, sometimes a 9.5, but the 8.5 was fine for me. I didn't end up keeping them, though, because they would have filled the same niche as some Marteganis I own.

I assume it's meant to be American. I don't recall two sizes being stamped inside, and they were made for the U.S. market.

My understanding, based on Doc's post, is that they're meant to be American sizes but that they run about 1/2 size too large (ie: I wear an 8.5US, but I would buy an 8 in this shoe). Which would make them UK sizes, I suppose. edit: the man himself beat me to it. On Wednesday, the price is going to drop to 50% off. I'm going to buy if my size is still available then.

I just grabbed the Chukkas. Are these markedly better construction than Clarks Dessert Boot?

I found the tan derbies to run perfectly true-to-size (US).

Folks who live near a Sears might do well to buy both their usual size and a half-size down, then return the one that doesn't fit to their local store. That way you'd be sure to get your size before they sell out.

They (2-tie Gibsons) started at $200, today they went to $150, Wednesday will be $100 and Friday will be $50. The chukkas started a little lower.

Yeah I didn't notice they were the O&E sales item this week... Crap, if the chukkas are still available in my sizes comes Friday, if not sooner, I won't be able to resist.
