I should probably try some KMWs at some pt.

Agreed on the ES Fultons. They're fantastic all-rounders and I was so disappointed to have to give them to my bro. They were a size too big and I scored them at 50% off from denimbar too!!

LA Guy- Any other stores you know of online that sell the NdG classic fit (or stores in LA)? I'd need a 32 (unless they stretch a ton) and none of your links still have one. Those look pretty nice. How's quality compare to Acne's Mic Ridgid?

Drizzt: info and pics of the average joe, never heard of that one...

LAGuy: interesting list all-around, I only own two (APC+dior, my only remaining blue jeans) as I've gotten rid of all japanese denim and wear a lot less blue jeans. I'm thinking of making a similar list for "fashion/non-traditional jeans", even though I'll readily admit that the quality/price ratio is ridiculously low.

I, too, would take the rb15s over the rb11 based on personal preference. In reality, however, they are very similar. For the nth time I'd put RRL slimfit on that list. While I'm partial to the denim of the older generations, the newer ones have been getting similar glowing reviews. The fit and details have always made it "Haagen-Dazs" to APC NS' "Rite-Aid" ice cream. But as few people have actually seen them in person, let alone have owned a pair, it will continue to be a case of "those who own know."

The average joe is similar to the regular ralf but it's not bootcut, more of a straight leg. I think the cut is slightly more modern and slimmer than the straight sven, while the denim is really nice and heavy and has a nice color, but is non-selvage. It's probably my favorite pair of jeans from Nudie, and I think retail is only $165.

This is an old picture, but you get the idea.

Too early. I was waiting for the Wings&Horns hoodies to come out. Also, I'm pretty busy these days. We'll see.

My Ande Whall Grifters have the best cut of any jean I own. A totally democratic and neutral slim fit - not as slim in the top block as the PBJ XX-005, and not as tapered as the SFX5ep, and not as stretchy as the New Standard - just well proportioned all the way down.

There are, AFAIK, 2 different "grey" jeans by Nom de Guerre. The lighter one is very light colored, nearly a dove grey, and has a heathered look. The darker (and I think newer) ones are a medium grey, and, imo, not as distinctive or as nice.

Quality is nicer. The finishing is considerably better. Denim quality is similar. All the stockists are on the Nom de Guerre website.

I thought of having these on the list, but they are really a different animal. I would put Kohzo's lacquered jeans on that list for sure.

looking forward to seeing this list....i too have been moving away from my japanese/raw denim craze and definitely more into having a collection of distinct washes, although i'm not sure if that's what you mean by fashion/non-traditional jeans

LA Guy: Great list. What do you think of Somet Straight black? I figured there must be a reason why you specified the indigo version. At the moment, APC NS are my go-to pair of jeans but Somet is probably my favourite concering fit and construction. I sized down two (adviced by the store manager) but after getting a little bit fatter, they're just a little too tight in the waist/top block now.

I am surprised to see Atlier on the list. I thought they were in that category of jeans that are popular with women, which I've found is the perfect way to learn about what jeans to stay away from. e.g.: Joe's, 7 For All Mankind, Rock and Republic, etc. Or am I confusing them with AG?

Definitely thinking of AG (or another brand). Though, I'm still surprised to see ALD on there because I think they are pretty damn ugly :p Edit: And what's this about a KMW/Context collab??

When do the Wings&Horns hoodies come out? I may give them a shot this year.

Yeah, I think ALD is much more in tune with workwear style clothing. Definitely not a jean I'd be into, but I can see guys like SuperBobo and Cotton Duck (on SuFu) wearing that kind of thing.

I would switch out the Straight Sven for the Eternal 811, but otherwise looks good.

I'm personally a Samurai fan, but I can completely understand why they never made the list.
