How about some photos Jason?
having gone down 1/2 a size, are they a perfect fit without insoles and with thin-ish socks...?
eh sorry Dusty, decided not to keep them so they're packed up ready to ship back
The boots themselves are really nice...I just don't need a black boot and for the price I didnt want to keep it feeling lukewarm towards em. The stock photos make them look really burgundy, which mine arent. Maybe every boot has its own coloration depending on how they treated the leather but I thought they sent the wrong color tho it does have some of the 'cherry' if you really look at it, but they still look black
^^ Glad to hear that. I remember seeing the black cherry pair Bill of sufu got for like $120 at Pasadena (sp?) market... gorgeous.
I saw a shoe store in Williamsburg selling those cherry red Red Wing boots. Maybe they're catching on and will be sold more in the US market.
Thats weird...I saw some photos of someone wearing them in sufu and they looked way too red so I decided not to get them. You could be right about the difference in color among pairs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the Gentleman Traveler lacks the Red Wing insignia on the ankle, which makes it more appealing to me than the 1911.
