Hand-crafted in England, these rolled-seam captoe oxfords originally retailed for more than $650 USD.

Last year, when SpooPoker offered them here on SF for one-third that price, I jumped at the opportunity to own a pair, despite my not knowing whether a 10.5 UK would fit. Unfortunately, after one day of wear, I couldn't deceive myself; these beauts were too big for me. The shoes have been treed, bagged, and boxed ever since.

UPDATE: Because I've received some inquiries about sizing, I want to add that my best fitting shoes are a pair of Alden 10.5 C's on the Barrie last; these Lodger's are roughly a half size too large for me. My best guess is that these Lodgers would best fit someone who wears a 10.5 D or E or an 11 C on Alden Barrie (similarly, on Allen Edmonds' 65 last, someone who wears an 11 D or E or an 11.5 C).

ADDITIONAL NOTE: One prospective buyer asked if these shoes had truly been worn only once. Yes, they were only worn once. But in case anyone else is wondering about the the scuffing on the soles, which do seem to indicate a bit more than one day's worth of wear, I should mention that I scuffed the soles intentionally; that may sound crazy, but these shoes' soles (burgandy painted/dyed leather) were DANGEROUSLY slick straight from the box; so I decided to carefully scuff them rather than risk breaking my neck just to keep the soles looking pristine. If you examine the photos of the foot beds, however, you'll notice that they look unworn (because they basically are).
