Anyone up for recommending some shoes to wear with jeans? black and brown or sneakers or whatever

I like to wear my grey New Balances. If standard-width shoes fit my feet I would buy Pumas or Adidases.

My favorite shoes for jeans are a pair of brown suede laceups and another brown suede monkstrap... casual but classy and quite comfortable. I like to wear a sportcoat and somehow a sportcoat and sneakers just shouts for a nightstick beating from the fashion police.

You can wear a lot of things, jeans are fairly flexible. Personally I wear brown seude adidas sneakers, black leather adidas sneakers, occasionally some brown Born shoes I have. My brother wears a more casual shoe from cole haan in brown with jeans and it looks really nice too.

Jeans actually allow for quite a variety of footwear.  Much to the disapproval of this forum, I was wearing a pair of plain, bootcut Theory jeans with a pair of black medallion captoe balmorals with a slim fit FC gray stripe LS shirt today.  It looked faintly reminscent of the look LA Guy was bemoaning in an earlier post, sans neckwear. My standard for jeans is a pair of black Chelsea boots.  I also wear a pair of brown trainers, brown split toe derbys from Allen Edmonds, a JL double monk in a brown pebblegrain, black loafers, and cordovan chisel toe derbys.  Otherwise, I wear almost anything BUT plain black or brown balmorals.  I wouldn't mind picking up a pair of conservative Ludwig Reiter trainers at some point for more casual outings.

I love my new nike skateshoes. These are not wide and bulky like typical skate shoes. Nike Skateshoes They have all sorts of styles and colors, and they look alot more stylish (think pumas or addidas) than any other skate shoe.

I personally like wearing high end flashier loafers with jeans, such as Gucci or Prada bit loafers...

Adiddas Sambas (classic and versatile) work with a variety of cuts and washes, I've found. I've also had success with a pair of tan suede bucks, provided the jeans are light enough in color. And black 8-eye Doc Martens for the colder months, also a classic, though sadly the quality has fallen in the past several years.

Chukkas - reverse calf if you're teaming the jeans with a tweed or corduroy jacket, calf or cordovan otherwise. If you're going for a sleek look - chelsea boots.

Asics Onitsuka Tiger 66s.. I like the bitch/ink/latte color combination the best: http://image.www.rakuten.co.jp/syuse...012660188.jpeg I have a pair of these and wear them casually and to clubs. I've never had a pair of sneakers that attracted so many complements.

With jeans I wear Puma Speedcats, in a multitude of colors and materials: suede on suede, leather on suede, all leather, etc... As well, I have a pair of Puma Replicats (essentially a higher Speedcat) that really help pull off a sporty look. Adidas (especially Y-3) shoes also, tend to look good with jeans. I second driving moccasins as perfect shoes to wear with jeans...as long as you can find the right pair that properly fit (always a problem of mine). Jon.

Just for knocking about, I have a pair of Trask shoes on today. They're bulletproof.
