I don't care for the taste and texture of the skin, and it gives me an allergic reaction. People do enjoy eating fruit and other food items for reasons other than their nutritional value.

A Fuji apple that has been sitting for about 1-2 weeks. Its the sweetest apple you will eat. Most fruits spoil when sitting, but the fuji apple further ripens, but doesnt rot.

Plus, I am partial to apples since my grandfather started his fruit orchards with apples. All my uncles grew up in apple orchards. My dad worked in orchards from the time he was 7 to when he was 35. One of my earliest memories was climbing apple trees and sitting there with my sister and cousins and eating apples.

That said, a fresh orange is tough to beat - but so is any FRESH fruit.

Apples. I do a fair amount of baking and apples are called for more often than oranges.

I like both, but would say i prefer apples. I like apple pie and apple sauce, and feel these two products contribute greatly to the superiority of apples.
