I like that Etro.

It's interesting that you have a Talbott from The Locker Room, which is the name of two men's shops in Alabama (one in Tuscaloosa, one in Montgomery). Talbott makes one of the best repp stripes around.

The Etro is really a striking tie. Have you ever heard of an "Old Cholmelians" organization down in your parts? I find it interesting that Robert Talbott produced a tie specifically for an English school. You would think that if the school commissioned it they would have gone to an English company. Or, unless the design is proprietary and Talbott just HAD to make it, they wouldn't have included the "Old Cholmelians" tag (and misspell it at that). Maybe, even in England, they see Talbott as the master of repp ties.

It's even more interesting that you have a Talbott from the Locker Room, which is the name of a lesbian bar in Phoenix. http://www.lockerroomphx.com/

I think it's a fairly common practice. I've had other Talbott repps that do this. I believe it's to give that air of Anglophiliac authenticity. Perhaps the misspelling gives it that air of American authenticity.
