I'd rather pay a little more to support a forum sponsor who actively participates here and gives us other incentives as well rather than jacking the proprietors of the site like AE did.

Support the forum, buy self edge.

Thanks for the support guys..

I was having a drink with Mr. B.Son himself today and he was quite appalled that there was a store online selling his garments at a price so close to the wholesale cost.
Regardless, if you don't think our prices are low enough, we actually sell both B.Son and Josh Podoll (two of our only American designers) at well below retail.
Either way, we try to keep the prices as low as possible while still being able to afford to feed you liquor and take you out for a taco when you come in to buy a pair of jeans.

i want tacos. ups me that. this discussion has also been done to death in superfuture...so i think it's up to you to decide if that;s what you want to spend. even at $45 i'm ok with it (pending tacos of course), it's the same reason i'll pay $80-$100 to buy from BiG. I respect your choice in hunting, you got a great piece regardless of the price.

Yes, and I'd rather not since I'll never set foot in S.E. It's great what Kiya does, sure, but that doesn't mean forum users have to swear loyalty to him. How exactly did AE 'jack' anyone... by costing less? Really?

^ That's not why. Anyways, I don't think that anyone means swear loyalty to this affiliate or that affiliate, but I do think it's important that every member make an effort to buy clothes through an affiliate that support the forum. Consumers have a lot of power when we buy anything. When you have the choice to buy something from a business that supports your values and community and one that doesn't, it just doesn't make sense not to buy from someone who helps out and is actually involved the community itself.

Plus, Active Endeavors was once a forum affiliate, and IIRC they refused to pay the affiliate fees, so they were eventually dumped. So basically, they burned the forum and now we try to stick it to them when possible.

Yeah, and unfortunately they don't update their stock regularly so what I'd ordered wasn't available anymore. I got the B.Son sweater just because I could get it for under $100 (including shipping to Canada), but now that my heart's set on it I might have to get it for more. Just don't know if I can pay the 135 + whatever shipping it will be to Canada. So sad right now.

absobu, I'm also from Canada, and my order was also cancelled by AE. Funny thing is if you check their site, they've listed more available sizes....its a conspiracy against the Canadians!
