FS: Santoni FAM Handmade Shell Cordovan Penny

Just in case anybody was looking for a handmade penny loafer in shell here. I know loafers are not that sought after around here, but these are very decadent and heavy. The weight is not how it is pictured here; these are some heavy and beefy and unbendable like premium shell cordovan should be.

Comes in the traditional burgundy color for penny loafers and shell.

these are Goodyear

These are so nice, I may just keep these for myself. These are sized 9.5 D but run slightly half size large. By that, I mean they run about 9.75.
My feet are 9.5E/10D and have a snug fit in these. Wearable, but best for a true 9.5D to wear these.

These are unbelievably rich. These can stand up to Alden shell pennies toe to toe.
Plus, these have channeled soles.

Retail is approx. $1100+ but I think what I was told is wrong. Maybe higher retail.

I am selling these for $569 shipped paypal.
I can give a discount to $539 if pay by MO/check ON HOLD.

Sorry, these prices are not budging, due to the fact that I will not come across this one single pair in my size again, and I will keep these for myself if I dont sell them at the price which will validate my separation from this lovely pair.

Delicous. Does the dark insole and gold lettering mean anything? I've never seen a pair of FAM's with either before. Edit: Too add, I've been looking at the pictures for the past minute or so and really like the color of those. It looks similar to Alden's Color #8, but much more rich. Does Santoni have a name for it besides "burgundy"?

Now, are you definitely sure that you want to sell these?

robin, actually to tell you the truth, #8 for alden is darker and silkier looking.
the tensile strength , weight, and overall beauty is about even.

the dark insole fam usually runs in the handmade line for loafers and mocassins.

I do want to sell these at that price. it is a good price too. believe it or not, i give all you sfers really good prices, i put up my honest gut/stomach prices up on ebay and they are always much higher.

I have an exact same pair. The color is not the traditional #8. It's not brown either. It's sort of reddish brown. Very lovely color.

Like Brian said, it's quite a substantial pair of shoes. The finishing, detailing, stitching are all top-notch, as a pair north of $1K should.

I love my shoes. I worn them for the first time walking up and down the strip in Las Vegas. I must have put about 2-3 miles on them that day/night. The insole nicely conformed to my feet. I went into a little shoe store at Wynn that carried Santoni line of shoes. The saleslady was quite impressed with the loafers.

At that price that Brian is asking for it's a steal.

One thing I should mention is that it's not a sleek last. But hey, it's a penny-loafer, it's shell cordovan in a non-traditional/difficult to get color, and it's Santoni FAM. I've also never seen the dark brown sockliner FAM. It must be an European thing.

Lee, i love that santoni store at the Wynn.

Thanks for the comments, but let me say my price is a very good price , not a steal though.

It is a very substantial pair of penny loafers indeed.

Hey Brian, let me respond to that B.S. PM for you:

What a dick! Take a closer look you dumb-f**k, the pair is regular calf leather with a mocassin construction sole, not a goodyear welted sole. And it retails for $850.

It's a steal

1. hard-to-get genuine shell cordovan color
2. Santoni FAM name
3. much, much better finish than any AE or Alden penny loafers (and I have all of them)

Brian, you should keep it. Aren't you on some sort of shell cordovan craze recently?

ok they are a steal.
i should keep them , but my money is lacking these days on all these shoes i want to keep,
even at a steal, these still cost me several hundred dollars to tell you the truth.

even though i am fighting the devil on my shoulder about keeping these, right now, it is not about a great bargain, but more so what i can squeeze out for most of my limited shoe budget. since i already got the aldens and looking to pay for the mto GGs i will get next year.

well, you know what i meant.. it is like a dramatic effect phrase...

kind of like in Spike Lee Do the right thing..

when the cops drive by giving the black folks the evil eye, one of the guys exclaim, "So I was sayin..."

"you weren't sayin anything!"
Oh man, oh man, I wish these were a 12 or 13! You should be keeping these Brian!

i really do Andrew. i really want to keep these but i need the monies. plus, i think my wife will kill me if i try to keep these. she reluctantly let me buy the Alden plaza boots. she doesnt even know i did a G&G MTO.
sheesh. i am buying time right now.

although, let me just add, my wife was very impressed by these loafers.
she is not into men's shoes at all, it takes alot to impress her with any men shoe
