Ok you have a beer to your left and a fine wine to your right, which one would you choose?

Weird thread. Anyway, depends which of the two is more crap. Good beer versus crap wine or good wine versus crap beer.

Goes without saying, but it largely depends on what wine and what beer we're talking about.

I would always go for the beer. Without question.

I'd rather have a good beer than a crap wine and vice versa. If all things are equal I guess it would depend on my mood and what I was eating, if anything.

All things being equal, I'd take the beer. I tend to only drink wine as an accompaniment to a meal.

also depends on the circumstance. If just finishing the yard, bike ride, at an outdoor festival, fishing, etc, the beer. Fine meal, nice bar, in the company of nice lady, etc, the wine

I like beer too, but the most memorable experiences have always been fine wine.

Beer, 99.9% of the time. Especially now with the weather cooling off and heavier, stronger beers becoming seasonal again. The .1% of the time refers to those rare times when I am in the mood for a dry red. I get really annoyed by fine dining restaurants that have extensive wine lists but only carry the usual mass-produced lagers. If you're truly knowledgeable about beer, you know that there isn't a food or situation that doesn't have a beer that fits it perfectly.

No thanks. I brought a pint of Beam.

The wine. I keep my beer in the freezer to preserve its Rocky Mountain freshness.
