Perfect White Shirt....... - Page 2

How about this one?

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/i...entPage=family

I like the medium spread collar and the slim fit cut of the Black Label. Not sure if there are any similar offerings from higher quality brands in the same price range?

I like that it has a modern look to it, thanks.

Should I order in my usual collar size, or size up?

Theory makes a nice shirt that I think has a softer less formal look to it.

Just to clarify, I'm not sure RLBL is of acceptable quality as I do not have any experience with it. I was more pointing out the style (which I like) and asking if there were higher quality alternatives. But I am growing more and more curious by the second...

I too like white shirts. I ended up buying this shirt in grey, (I'm wearing it right now) but the white one is nice. I love the small silk collar: http://www.matchesfashion.com/catalo...v_0005_whi_019 DG always fit me nicely: http://www.matchesfashion.com/catalo...e_0014_whi_073 They might be expensive but they're well made and you get interesting details that the more classic options don't usually have. The individual can judge what those are worth to him.

I like the detail of the collar on the D&G but I'm afraid if D&G say "slim" it would be a little too tight for me. Matches is an interesting website. I love the Paul Smith shirt with buttons that go up the arm from the cuff. Now if that came in white.... Hey, does anyone here know a place were I could design my own shirt and have it made with a major detail like buttons up the arm? Most places just do simple variations on a basic style. I can only image going into Borrelli and watching their eyes roll as I mention the buttons.... Here is the link to the Paul Smith shirt http://www.matchesfashion.com/catalo...x_0005_whi_166

I have one DG 'slim fit' labelled shirt in a 16 collar and it measures around 21 inches across the chest. I don't know if that's consistent across all shirts with the 'slim fit' tag. In my experience 'tailored fit' are roomier. The Lanvin shirt looks slim on the mannequin but I bought a 42 collar and it required alterations. A 42 chest would have no problem with them. I love almost anything from Lanvin. That brown wool/silk shirt at matches is stunning.

Bought the RL Black Label shirt I mentioned earlier. Wasn't happy with the quality so I returned it.
