The problem with the new Bentleys is that they use a cheap chromed plastic grill.

For $300K, I want British artisans bending real wire for my grill.

The main grill is metallic, only the lower grills are plastic. And the cheap plastic grill that you mention is not much more expensive than the real wire grill. In fact VW is using plastic grills for pedestrian safety in the case of an accident, not because of cost reduction.

Thinking now, that's not at all a bad idea. Considering I've seen the results of an accident involving a metal grille, plastic is probably a better idea.

Although I think after having the Winged Victory of Rolls-Royce plunged into my abdomen, I could die a happy person

It seems you are beginning to like the RR Phantom. I had the same problem too, the car is just too much for some people but RR is still the King of the road.

I'm of the principle that I won't consider a car that's not at least 20 years old.

That's the Excelsior? I saw it at the NY Auto Show. Pretty hardcore.

No. Maybach Exclero...3 were produced for the tire maker Fulda. One is in Cali at the MB Museum.

Designed by a student from Pforzheim, a magnificent school. The Exelero is much nicer than the Embolism.
