You should get a tablet PC for the john. That was a benefit I didn't originally think of when purchasing mine.

[quote=DarkNWorn;707308]Umm...I subscribe to Men's Vogue.

I get Men's Vogue as well. I like some features but they are getting very entertainment-industry-personality driven and getting away from fashion and style information. I do like their photography and layout, it is maybe the best of the US men's fashion publications. When done with an issue I feel like I got shorted on my dose of fashion, but I keep buying it. But, in the interest of full disclosure, I am a magazine junkie, so consider the source......

I've been pretty disappointed with Mens Vogue since issue #2. There doesn't seem to be enough focus on clothes/shoes/gear, and has the same boring vibe as Esquire..too many articles with too many words (if I wanted to read something interesting there's plenty of good books for that purpose). When it comes to a men's style mag I just want pretty pitchures and shoe-suit-shirt-tie-watch porn. For all their many faults I look forward more to GQ/Details than MVogue

I don't subscribe to any of them, but I browse Esquire regularly at the campus library and buy an occasional copy of GQ and Details at the newstand. Usually, I discover that I've bought the British GQ. I like some of the articles in GQ and browse the ads for new ideas for datewear . When I see a piece I like, I ask myself how I can incorporate it without going AmJack and where I can buy a good quality facsimile.

The first two installments of Esquire's Big Black Book that I've bought are very good.

Is it possible to get a subscription to Arena or GQ.uk sent to the US? I think I'm going to subscribe to GQ since it is $1/issue. I must say the Arena website is quite annoying.

i subscribe to GQ UK edition. i really enjoy reading the articles & fashion tips...
however they are too brand name focused and recommend items that are over AUD $2000. most items you can't even find in Australia, so you need to order online.

RE: Esquire black book, i ordered a copy from Amazon.com
should receive my copy this week

Unlike GetSmart, I subscribe to Men's Vogue for the articles. They write about more than just fashion, usually about arts, entertainment, architectures, personalities, etc. I find their clothing articles are more to my taste and more focused than GQ, and written more tastefully than most of the other Men's magazines. Also, it's cheap. IIRC, I originally paid something like $16 for 2 years when it was first introduced.

You can get GQ British through Amazon for the bargain price of $122/year.

I subscribe to GQ. Decent articles. I get a good idea of current fashion trends. They tend to push the pricey brand name clothing a little too much. One would get the impression that only Hedge fund managers read the magazine. Details is a close second. Esquire is a total bore.

I find Men's Vogue very boring. I liked the first issue I read (which was the first or second ever, I forget), I bought a few more after that then quit when I couldn't bring myself to finish the articles.
