Does anyone have any? This isn't something I was saving for but recently decided I wanted for my trip. For that reason, I'd like to keep it under $1500. I've never really looked at digital video cameras before so I'm not sure if there's anything I should watch-out for. Price is my main concern with performance a distant second. It does have to be HD though. Shooting SD seems pointless at this point in time.

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

We got the Sony HD that records straight to harddrive (so it's an HDHDD!). I'm at work, can't remember the model. But let me tell you, works really well and is very easy to manipulate the files. Also, you can get 40 hours of HD on the hard drive. That is a huge amount of video. Also, the battery lasts forever and a day, we're talking like 6-8 hours on a full charge from the extended battery. It's just a very compact, sweet thing.

No clue imagewis. I don't need anything fancy so I haven't even been looking. This isn't for any kind of professional or even serious amateur production. I just want something to shoot HD videos with while on vacation this winter. I would gather that they're expensive. I found a good review site yesterday and was looking at the canon hv20 (about 900) and the next step up to a semi-pro camera was 3.2k.
Piobaire, I'd be interested in the model. In every review I've read so far, they all have poor battery life. The good news is, at least for the canon i'm considering, the batteries are cheap.
