Various Ties to Clear

Hi all, I have a bunch of ties that I want to clear. Before I put them up on eBay, I thought i'd let the members here have a look and see whether any interest them. They are not the highest brands here, but they're in good condition and should be wearable. They are all silk and in very good used condition (9 out of 10). Regarding prices, I was going to individually mark them, but for the sake of time (and not upsetting people with high prices), i've decided to list them all at $20 each, with $3 shipping for 1 - 2 ties and free shipping for 3 or more ties with a few exceptions (see below). Having said this, I'm trying to get rid of them, so i'll entertain all sensible offers. The ties are numbered from left to right with the pictures above relating to the numbers below. 1. Hi. It really depends upon the number of ties and how quickly you want to receive the ties.

I would say (at a guess) that for 2 ties to go with tracking, should be no more than $20. Naturally, if i've guessed wildly, then I will re-emburse the excess amount.

The Royal Mail website should provide you with some indcation of prices. However, please allow a few extra dollars for packaging.

Just some friendly selling advice: Make it easy for people to buy by finding out the cost of shipping/packing... for 1 or 2 ties and posting the price. I would also recommend finding an inexpensive alternative because $20 seems excessive for $10-$20 ties.

Thank you for the advice, it has been noted. My main reason for listing such an expensive amount is simply because I usually get my items shipped using the fastest method to get from the US to the UK and I wanted to give people that option.

Like I said earlier, i'm not a person who wants to make money on shipping, I just want to give people options. I will offer refunds on any excess amounts.

I will find out and list the prices. Many thanks again for the advice.

Hi all, i've been speaking to an esteemed member of SF regarding the prices of my ties.

Whilst they are competitively priced for the UK market, the price of shipping makes them a poor choice for the overseas market (particularly the US).

As I have around 100 ties (not including these), I really want to move them onto good homes.

So, here's the deal.

For 1 - 2 ties, I will offer the cheapest method of shipping at $3 (please see above prices to see i'm shipping at a loss)

For 3 or more ties, I will offer free shipping.

I will also offer discounts on multiple tie purchases of 3 or more also. How much will depend the on the number of ties.

If someone wants to buy the lot from me, then make me an offer.

Please, please, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss my deals. To my mind, part of purchases such as these is to negotiate. If you offer a price, and I offer another one, please come back to me with a revised price (if you can).

By way of references, I have purchased from a few SF'ers over the last few months and on ebay I have over 650 feedback (with 1 negative from a seller who sold me shoddy goods).

I could put them on eBay, but I hoped that they may be appreciated better on this site (even if they are branded ties). I will leave this offer open until Sunday and then put them on the Bay.

Hi all, 2 things.

1. Will all members who haven't received their ties (and jacket) please let me know as they should have arrived by now.

I must admit, I prefer to have all my items shipped with a tracking number. Much more expensive, but at least I know where they are.

2. These ties are gathering dust at my place. I will go eBay shortly, but to get rid of them, I will offer the rest (around 12 ties) for $100 + half shipping (at around $15).

This will run until Sunday 28th Oct. Then the 'Bay will have them.
