Let's see pics.

I just bought a Therme in M but I'm considering a Field Jacket LT (the shell version) so that I can have a more versatile winter set up. I'm 5' 6", 175 broad shouldered with a bit of a gut. I intend to pair it with a Rico down jacket which fits like a glove in M and possibly my Corneliani sport coats. Should I size up to a Large or will a medium be roomy enough to accommodate?

Agreed - I've found that Veilance runs very slim and usually size up from the corresponding mainline size. Thus M in mainline = L in Veilance.

I have the field jacket LT and it is a bit slimmer than usual, but honestly it does feel like a "true" American large, just slim. I wouldn't call it an American medium.

It depends on the jacket, too. For example the Align shell is roomier than the field jacket.

Honestly, while the jackets are slim, they are cut so anatomically that you don't need as much room as you would with a normal garment.

Just grabbed last year's Partition at 50 off. Love it.

Caligari, where did you buy the Partition. I have one from 2 years ago and it's great.

I don't own any arcteryx and really need a winter coat so I'll be stopping by the factory shop on Boxing Day. My budget is around $300- is there anything in my price range or should I be looking at other stuff?

If money is a priority then perhaps the Khuno parka may be your best choice. Fully windproof and great insulating value

Using the Mionn as a standalone or layering piece?

You know it's WAY too nice to cover it up! Will be as warm as a Nuclei which is enough for Toronto.

How are you finding the cropper collar? Tell me you got the Neptune colour
