Probably because of the Hublot...

Hublot? You blow. Just kidding ;) :p

In all seriousness, never been a huge fan of the brand, but can't find fault with the Portofino. Or if the OP ever tires of the Tudor, then there's always the Aquatimer (though I much preferred the previous generation, and think it would probably have been more the OP's style).

Value for money I don't think you can beat Blancpain. I have 2 , Fifty fathom (about 1 year) and triple date moon phase ( about 15 years) very reliable good looking watches. You can have a Rolex but who wants a watch from a company that makes over 1 million watches per year.

@John Amiri Blancpain is on the "in my future" list. As soon as I hit the Powerball. LOL. In all seriousness the Fifty Fathom is extremely elegant/french and rare. I've never seen one in the wild. I can't walk two feet in New York without seeing multiple Rollies (Not that I don't admire Rolex).

@omicron1792 Nice! I think I'll wear the BB today also. What am I saying, I wear it almost everyday.

Would you be opposed to pre own? There are some great values on pre owned Omegas or new Longines maybe? ...both of which resale for decent amounts.

@BuzzAldrin I'm not opposed to buying pre owned. Do you have any recommendations for reputable places that sell them?

Watchuseek is a great forum for people that sell as well as other enthusiast. Also Watchrecon looks sketch because its a very basic site but you are not actually buying from there. What you do is type in the watch you are looking for and it comes up with some listings on other sites and what they are going for. Most of them are people on forums selling but you can always do a little homework and find someone that has lots off feedback or that owns a shop and they use the internet as a sales outlet.
