Cashmere spectacular. Ballantyne handmade intarsia Scotland and Altea

This is the last of the Ballantyne cashmere sweaters I have for sale. 100% Cashmere. Made in Scotland. Just fantastic cashmere sweaters (really top of the line) at a great price. Normally they are ruinously expensive. I was able to try these on, since I'm a US 38. The measurements may be useful, but I'd pay more attention to the suggested sizing I give. Do not think about jacket measurements, as they don't seem to convert. Cream/oatmeal crewneck (not intarsia, but made in Scotland). Tagged size 46. Fits great for a US 38 (my size, so this will stay with me if it doesn't sell) or a 40. Chest 43" (though feels a little more snug than that) shoulder 18" sleeve 25.5" length 26" 100% cashmere 1 ply. $189

Pictures for two of the Ballantyne. Made in Scotland but not intarsia. Those will have to come later.

I had no idea Altea made sweaters. They all look awesome.

Yeah, I usually try to keep the enthusiasm to a reasonable level, but the Altea sweater is really phenomenal. Unusual design. Nice slim fit. Great colors. Very thick, warm, and extremely soft cashmere. I would have charged much much more but for the fact that I got a good price and I don't think guys have as much knowledge of Altea knits as Ballantyne. If this was for sale at Saks or Barneys, I would expect the price to be at least $600.

Darn it - if those were larger (particularly either the oatmeal or the Altea herringbone, as they're both gorgeous!), I'd have snapped them up. Still, it's probably just as well for my bank account that they're small...

Must... resist...

Spending....too much...lately...

PM sent!

The cream/oatmeal looks beautiful, and the Altea is charmingly quirky. I love them and am desperately trying to resist buying them both.

Best of luck with the sale!

Altea is sold out. I will see what I can do about getting more. In the meantime... get ready:

A new Altea and six new scottish Ballantyne sweaters added, four of them intarsia. These are gorgeous sweaters, and if they don't sell here, I think I'm going to move them to ebay at a higher price. Something makes me think that Japanese buyers would scoop them up quickly (right size, right label, etc.).
