Clock Radio.

Hate having the celly wake me up, can anyone recommend a clock radio next for next to the bed.

Don't need an iPod holder or a CD player with it. Just some good and somewhat old fashioned, but you know, not an alarm clock.

The Jeeves clock. No radio, though.

I'd choose a Tivoli Audio Model Three

Target was selling Tivolis for around $50 a while back. I don't know if they are not going to carry them any more, or if new models are coming out. I do like the sound that I get from mine.

Bose. More expensive, but nice. Don't know if it comes w/an iPod dock though

The alarm clock on the tivoli sounds like a real afterthought though. Based on Amazon reviews, the clock doesn't run on AC power and the snooze function seems ill-thought-out. How hard can it be to wire the clock so you don't have to worry about the battery running down. Otherwise, it looks nice, and I'd be tempted (I'm in the market too. My wife exiled my last alarm clock to the kitchen because she didn't like the blue glow of the LCD.\\

That Sangean looks good. I'm going to give it a try. Tivoli looks nice, but I'm not sold on the functionality.

It doesn't but he said he wasn't looking for those things

I'd get one that can sync its time over the airwaves --- they often have labels like "atomic clock" or "radio-controlled" or some combo because the US ones sync with the NIST atomic clock in Colorado --- which is the easiest way to keep your time accurate.

The Sangean FC recommends is radio-controlled. But get one with a return policy, because the coverage can be spotty around the house depending on your building construction and area.

if you just want a go-to clock radio, General Electric has several inexpensive models that can be picked up at just about any general or department store.

The Tivoli seems like a good radio but bad alarm clock. I wouldn't bother with the alarm version. Bose is overpriced junk. 99% of their budget must go to marketing.

Just make sure whatever you get has "Gradual Wake" so you are peacefully brought out of your slumber and not jarred by a blaring alarm.

Apparently a lot of heart attacks occur on Monday morning!

I like this "Zen" alarm clock. http://www.chopa.com/ShopSite/Digita...arm_Clock.html

But I'd probably go with one of those gradual visual alarm clocks that light up, getting brighter and brighter for the least stressful awakening.
