I need some info such as prices ,etc on Charvet and Cifonelli tailoring operations...

I'm thinking next year treating myself and i was thinking if anybody has actually experienced their products ...

Charvet is une grande maison de couture ,made famous by the Duke of Windsor and Cifonelli has an excellent reputation in the tailoring world...

Any tips or advice?

Charvet's tailor also has an excellent reputation. Why not try for yourself?

Or there is Arnys bespoke, which in their last catalog starts at 6500 euros

I will put my large Gascon nose though the door...

4500 EURO is a normal price for Bespoke...What about the demi-mesure?

Charvet prices?

What makes the French bespoke so costly?

The French artisans seem to be the most consistently expensive in any area whether it be suits or accessories. I suspect there might be that heritage/prestige factor but when you're dealing in such an esoteric area, I should imagine prestige was implied.

I met a guy in Paris a few years back who wore bespoke Cifonelli. Nice threads, but I thought for the price I'd rather invest in a relationship on Saville Row.

Jesus, that's more or less Huntsman price, isn't it?

4500 euros included VAT as the price is a bit above $5,000 in New York.

There is more hand work in the suits than in any Savile Row efforts I've seen, and Parisian labor costs are substantially higher than they are in Southern Italy. So a price that's roughly the same as Rubinacci makes sense to me.

Top SR and NYC bespoke are going to cost you $4500-$5000 for a three piece suit in a good cloth so, beside Arnys, the price don't seem that different.
