You are going to love me for this. Go to your drug store, buy a bottle of vegetable glycerin. Chop up your Van Der Hagen soap into cubes, microwave in a small 8 oz bowl for a few seconds until it melts, stir in one teaspoon of the glycerin then let it harden in the freezer.
You have just turned your $1 puck of shaving soap into something that can easily contend with the $30+ tubs of top shelf British soaps/creams.
