Hello,
I have a few pieces of English fabric for sale.
I am selling a few lengths of English fabric.
The first one I bought here:
http://styleforum.net/showthread.php...highlight=wool
1. Dark Gray--close to charcoal--100% 100's smooth worsted wool, plain weave (not twill), 10-10.5 oz., 3.50 meters. From a mill in West Yorkshire. $45 shipped. There's probably enough here for a small suit and definitely enough for two pairs of trousers. Here's the seller's description (by permission):
100% wool worsted suiting fabric width 150 cm. Weight around 310 grams/metre [10-10.5 oz]. Plain dark grey/light grey mixture giving a two-tone mohair-look and a shiny appearance. Smooth, yet firm, solid finish. This cloth was manufactured in West Yorkshire, England.
And here's Howard's picture with the eBay listing (again with permission). The fabric is actually much darker than the shade in the picture--close to charcoal gray--but it gives you some idea of the weave and texture:
2. Medium Brown 97% 130's, 3% cashmere smooth worsted wool blend, very fine plain weave, quite lustrous appearance, 9 oz., 1.60 meters (sufficient for one pair of trousers). $35 shipped. Seller's description:
97% super 130's wool worsted, 3% cashmere suiting fabric. Width 150 cm., weight around 270 grams/metre [9 oz.]. Plain medium brown shade in a luxury fine serge weave. Beautiful, soft, smooth, silky, yet firm finish. It was made in West Yorkshire, England and has a woven name edge with a full description and country of origin.
Here's the accompanying picture for the eBay listing. Again, the actual fabric is somewhat darker than the picture would suggest and slightly more toward the rust tones, but is definitely not a dark brown--more of a medium-brown.
The prices above are approximately one-half what I paid (with shipping) for the same quantities, and Howard's prices are already very low. Anyone interested can have both for $75.
SOLD.
I am selling the first one for $45 (shipped within continental US). I am looking for something considerably heavier and will consider a trade. This fabric is very nice but I am in a woolen instead of a worsted phase right now.
The second fabric I bought from ebay. The pics and description are from the listing. I am asking $25 for it (shipped within continental US). This sale is the SF benefit. Once J tells me he has received the payment, I shall send the fabric out.
Thanks for looking and if someone has info on Yaegerson, it will be appreciated.

I recently purchased some worsted wool lengths from British Fabrics (eBay seller how6955) for some MTM trousers I have planned. Howard's cuttings (maybe mill ends) are in odd lengths, and I purchased more than enough of each for one pair of trousers--both 150 cm. (60 in.) wide. As a result, I have some left over and was wondering whether anyone on the forum would be interested in one or both of them. Here's what I have for sale:
