Clearing my closet, getting rid of my denim. Sugar Cane "1955" jeans. Made in Japan. Selvedge, chainstiched hems. BRAND NEW.
A bit interesting...these came out during the whole Levi's lawsuit re: back pocket stitching. The original retailer was ordered to remove the back pocket stitching so you can still see some remnants of the old "V"

Some stuff from Self Edge:

Here we have something for the true denim lover and experts out there. These Sugarcane 1955 Japanese Selvedge jeans are quite hard to come by. Based after a early-mid 1960's Levi's 501 cut which features a slightly slimmer cut than what was out in the 1940's with a real deadstock Scovill Zipper. The zippers are from the early 1950's, and when Sugarcane runs out of these zippers they will discontinue production on these jeans. The jeans come in a special edition box that houses the jeans and a reproduction of a New York Times Newspaper from 1955. The jeans come loaded with the works... heavy 14-ounce, double ring-spun selvage denim produced on the original narrow shuttle looms employed back in the 1930’s, including a color and weave matching to the shade of blue utilized in the manufacturing of the original 1955 dungarees with red-line selvedge.

Measurements:
Waist: 16"
Inseam: 34.5"
Front Rise: 12.5"
Back Rise: 16.5"
Thigh: 12.5"
Knee: 10.25"
Leg Opening: 9"

Asking $90 shipped in the States, a bit more if international.
