I have just had 2 tailor made suits made in HK over the past 4 weeks while visiting family. I have to get suits made as I am a bodybuilder, basically a suit nightmare. Big shoulders, chest, 17" arms and a 32" waist.
One suit was grey super cheap $125from Mon Kok, just to try them out. The price came with one fitting, Italian material. I was really surprised how well the suit turned out. A lot of the younger HK adults get their suits made at this place, it is called JJ's. If you don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin bring a translator.
The other suit black, $600 from Central. I had to have 3 fittings due to them be really fussy and my hard to work with measurements. The suit is perfect. The store person i dealt with was Ornold, super nice, black guy originally from the Bahamas, speaks English and Cantonese. Lapel tailors on Wellington St.
Both suits are great material, 2 button, high notch lapel, flat front tapered down to the ankle Italian fitting pants. For myself it is in the final tailoring that makes the difference in my suits. I always get at least 3 fittings.
