One of the better covers of this often covered song.

Heres one that is particularly powerful for those of us who have been close friends to a suicide.

@the ernesto I believe it was Evan Dando who said "Waterloo Sunset" was the greatest pop song ever written. I'm not sure I agree or could even think of one as the greatest, but it is strangely appealing.

I like Evan Dando, but like you I'm not sure he's right. Nonetheless I've been captivated by the song since the first time I heard it. Like a lot of their songs it conveys a sense of comfort and nostalgia that is quite touching.

How I wish Lucinda Williams' voice still sounded something like this.

Everyone was tight except for Iggy. I think he was trying a bit too hard and probably not being shirtless threw him off.

Well I'm not even sure really bad covers it. Coincidentally I was listening to Master of Puppets the other day. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I would make a few caveats to the Metallica now sucks thought. There were some decent tunes from Load/Reload, and although I've been scoffed at before for mentioning it here, I enjoy most of their Symphony and Metallica album. Also, they've given a number of kick ass concerts that I would have love to go see, such as that one in Nice, France in an old Roman amphitheatre. The main thing that off puts me is that fucking crab walk Trejo does on stage all the time. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be about but it's fucking goofy as hell.
