Zegna Napoli Couture (Mantellassi?) 11D - $175

These are just a little too narrow for my feet. I would guess worn less than 10 times, I am happy to take advice of more senior members if these are not priced right but I believe these are very well priced.

zegna used to be made by mantellassi but they are currently made by zefer, a joint venture between ferragamo and zegna.

The heel pattern of the shoes is found in this thread:
http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=24109 with the title (Zegna by Mantellassi).

Perhaps others could weigh in on whether these are made by Mantellassi but I believe this is a good price either way.

guys, here is a little more info on these shoes gleaned from this thread: http://styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=26898 "AFAIK, the Zegna Couture shoes with clusters of 3 nails on the soles are made by Mantellassi; the others are made through the joint venture with SF. I've only found one pair at SOF and they appeared very well-made (comparable to Tramezzas, which I like very much). I've never seen them at NMLC or DSW." and quoting ed morel (without permission): I own all three, including the three different Zegna classes and here is how I would rank them based on the construction only, keeping in mind that the differences between 1-4 are tiny and mostly subjective 1. Mantellassi hand made 2. Zegna Napoli Couture ("goodyear welted" on sole, not the sole with the visible nails) 3. SF Tramezza 4. Zegna Napoli Couture (two tone sole with brass slugging) 5. Zegna "Fatte a Mano" If you continue to read on the thread, it states the mantelassi-made zegna couture retail for $600-$700.

I'm interested to see if these fit. I'm a 12b in Ferragamo typically. I haven't owned a Zegna shoe. is there somewhere in NYC that I could try this model on? I'll do that and then buy them from you if they fit.

Unfortunately the NYC store does not have any of the Mantelassi made shoes anymore (at least not 2 months ago when I was there). The sales person said they no longer would carry Sutor made shoes, but they are often dead wrong so who knows. I own the hand made/welted line and Goodyear welted line and did not see anything that looks Sutor like myself either. They did have a really nice pair of burgundy hand welted shoes for 1,500, the salesman said they were Zefer but who knows.

I commute to nyc and we can meet and you can try them on...but my sense is that there is little chance an 11D will fit a 12B...and they are on hold now.
