How do 10 eyelets work with the leather laces? All pictures ive seen for them have been the regular laces
We can't do 10 eyelets in any case. You have your choice of 7 or 9.

Cheers,

Fok.

I vote for #13. The "I-Can't-Fit-Into-the-2030-Because-of-My-Fat-Feet" Waxed Flesh Service Boot

Please change to white upper stitching if that's what the majority wants. And, specify smooth brown tongue please!

Love the boot but I do not do ripple.....only thing that holds me back from that one.

Yup. Ripple held me back the first time. The leather is bonkers though and I will say the sole looks way better than I had expected

I really like the tan bison leather as it would go well with one of my favorite watch straps, but can't do the ripple sole.

Totally understandable as this was my initial sentiment during the first go-around and I feared that it would be too aggressive for my typical aesthetic.

However, the mini-ripple is actually pretty discreet in real life and looks awesome IMHO. Anywhere I would wear commando or dainite in a casual setting the ripple would look even better and more visually interesting. It works so well with the bison and I really hope we can use the remaining leather. Come on fellas - let's make this happen.

Yeah, I feel the ripple sole is a big part of what makes that boot so great.

I agree...The big ol' ripple I don't like but the mini looks like piranhas teeth. Kinda bad ass...I'm in for the Bison...And maybe the Echo too, also with a mini-ripple. Huzzah.

I like it!! Sounds like we have 5 or so that are enthusiastic so far. I think 10 or so is a good minimum number so we are halfway there.

Let's vote early and often!!

Fok, we have 23 proposed make-ups, is that a record number thus far? Not sure how many active members we have here, but with 23 options, it seems like the voting could be spread rather thin. In your experience, what's the minimum number of votes that will lock in a make?

I vote #6

Yeah baby! We need at least one good tough work boot this year! I'm hard on my boots...I'm in for 2 of these bad boys myself! And I'm gonna rock that vintage cats paw heel and vibram 700 sole! Who else is in on #6...come on guys, you need this boot in your stable!

Hey,

That's not a record number. We are always with 23+ suggestions. However, even just looking here, I can see that some guys post up something, and there is just no movement behind it. We will go to the same "vote with your $$$" with just 6-7 makeups. In that round, your votes have to be.... bought! That is, it will be done through the store. You pay $20 towards the makup of your choice, and that $20 is refunded only if your makeup does not make the final cut, or when you buy the makeup for which you voted. This prevents tirekickers from mucking up the works for those with serious intent!

Right now, the bison, the echo boot, some version of the brown waxed flesh boot (looks like in a 110, unclear whether tonal or contrast stitching), some soft of navy service boot, the "Half Japanese" (not sure what to make of the name) 145 Oxford in a slightly more upturned last, and if the guys who want it can get their stuff together, something in the 310 last (seriously guys, this would be an interesting change though it's not my personal style, so pull it together), and maybe a service boot in olive leather, if I can get that, are all in the running. There is some Galway-esque country boot that seems cool and have some sort of following as well. Again, we'll see about the leather. Have I missed anything?

Cheers,

Fok.
