No. This is not correct fit. This is sloppy falling off of you fit. My boss wears Men's Warehouse sized up. The fit of this shirt reminds of that to a lesser degree. I am not advocating "tight fit" which looks stupid as well. But a competent shirtmaker -- CEGO for example, could make a shirt that fits much more precisely than that on the first try. To me the shirt looks no different than what can be obtained RTW.

Well, Carl happens to think my shirt is terribly wrong. So if CEGO shirts are your paradigm, it makes sense that you wouldn't like this one.

You are striving to achieve a balance and wanting to achieve a shirt that looks "tidy," but this looks anything but.

Why the need to be such an ass?

Why the need to be such a bitch? It's the Internet, get over it.

IMO the only thing that is terribly wrong about this shirt is its disturbing transparency...

And the fact that he keeps showing his cleavage. It's time to button up mafoofan.

This is true. Please, mafoofan, remove your balls. Thank you.

Well, he is getting married soon, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I really like the fit in iammatt's photograph. I would prefer a wider shoulder though. But I understand that this is the Neapolitan style.

mafoofan's fit is nice too, but I can't help but think it could stand to be a little smaller in overall dimensions. While iammatt's shirt shows of his flat abdomen, mafoofan's shirt seems to make him look frumpy (when he clearly isn't). I am sure these shirts look better in real life though. Pictures tend to emphasise imperfections.

Still think the front of iammatt's shirt would look better pattern-matched, but we've already argued that one to death.

I thought someone would have to be a fool to post in this thread, but I think Matt wins on all counts. I especially like the belt. I'd love to know where to find something like it.

A couple of examples of shirts I think fit quite well (at the slim-fitting end of the scale):

1. 2.
3.
4.

1. WE (OTR)
2. Nieuwenhuis van Nimwegen (MTM)
3. WE (OTR)
4. E. Zegna (OTR)

I think these pictures are important due to the numerous jantzen/herm./ascot chang/chan posts...

So far I think Matt's slim fit shirt looks really good... I wear a watch, so I wouldn't want the cuffs as tight, but it looks great on matt. I do like pattern matching, but again, just personal pref.

More pictures are definitely welcome... Thx
