LEMAIRE - Page 44

Have any of you dudes seen the asymetric tunic in a 52? Or alternatively does anybody know if the 50 would still work? I've never sized down on Lemaire but the SP make it seem like it could work, it looks fairly wide and billowy.

I'd also be interested in the wool one (grey I think it was) but would def prefer the white.

@SuspensionPoint
Would a 50 in that above asymmetric shirt work for a usual 52? Or would it just throw off the balance too much? 24" p2p seems fine as far as that's concerned but in not sure about the rest and I haven't really seen sized down Lemaire look right before.

I am a size 48 and own both grey and Wool white/cream varient from Thecorner and Matchesfashion. For normal fit the shirt is realy beautiful and relaxed in all the right places. However if you are considering purchase a size down it all depends on shoulder seam length, chest, and arm length.

How tall are you? I think the chest circumference is good either way, but considering its a asymmetric neck fastening, it could be tight around the neck. Measure the neck too

I'm 6'2" and yeah I hadn't thought about the neck. A "good fit" in standard shirting for me 23.5" p2p with a 19" shoulder.

@gettoastydo you have one of the draped cardigans?
If so, do you find it short or anything since its unisex? do you recommend them?

@OccultaVexillum Just measured the neck on the size 50 shirt at 17.25". I would suggest comparing the lengths to a shirt you own to see if you can size down.

Thanks. The measurements all seem to check out. I mean it seems like it would "fit", but I don't know if it would fit as intended if that makes sense. If I could find a 52 I'd be all over it though.

@OccultaVexillum I never found that cardigan in particular interesting and I think if I picked it up I'd be too much of a brand whore at that point. It was cool how in some looks it was shown worn wrapped and tucked in, but not for me. Too gimmicky. It seems fairly thin, too. If it was a thicker wool then I think it would work but you have other labels already doing that e.g. Isabel Benenato comes to mind.

Thanks, I think you may have saved me.

There's a 52 on grailed that I was ready to buy but after looking at it closer it's not the cashmere lichen one I thought it was, and you are right about brand whoring - if it wasn't Lemaire I would probably dismiss is it as too short pretty quickly.

Speaking of grailed, this print is rad: https://*****************/listings/318031-christophe-lemaire-beige-floral-shirt-in-silk

I don't remember seeing any prints over the last few seasons and the listing says it was from 2013, does anybody know if this was just a sample or something?

Barneys has a few SS16 things up for pre-order, really like that zip front shirt, looked great on the runway in the other colours too, green, beige, black, I think.

Also a heads up for the Lemaire AW16 collection which shows at Paris tomorrow, looking forward to seeing what comes from that.

Is women´s fr40 a sort of men´s 44 or46?

So has mr porter and other shop stopped carrying Lemaire? I was hoping the issue with me porter was just to do with the stock issues they seemed to have for the FW season. Both web shops still list Lemaire but haven't had anything since SS.

I'm by crazy about this seasons outerwear frown.gif

Some of it looks good but overall I feel like this is pretty weak compared to the last few AW collections. Maybe it's just the heavy use of navy making it hard to pick things out but nothing really jumped out at me. I'll have a better look later.

Still mad I slept on the band collar wool overshirts and the flannel crew neck long sleeves from this season. If anybody sees a 52 in either, in any colour please let me know. Same for the asymmetric long shirt.
