The 1ks are really easy to get on and off, but the leather is rather thin. Leather sole.

The Beckmans are more bulbous looking, a bit harder to get on and off, but the leather seems to be more harder wearing. The break-in period can also be quite a bit more trying, but if your patient and do it right it won't be to bad. Rubber half soles.

I've owned all three as well. The Beckman like you said, required the most break in but is probably the best of the bunch, IMO. OSB Trench and 1K at MSRP are so close to a pair of Whites, I'd go that route.

I've sold all three and replace them with a pair of Viberg Service boots.

I will proceed to another manufacturer I may try a pair of beckmans or 1k really want another pair of beaters for mardi gras season. It comes early this year.

I'm just breaking in on my Beckman's yesterday I wore them from 2pm to around 10pm and did not felt uncomfortable with them. I liked that. Mexicans, we are used to buy something and keep them for some considerable amount of time, that's why we don't get a lot of sales over here, so these boots feel like they are going to be forever in my closet. Nice investment. :D

I'm with Ryden. Today's snow removal features a slip on for me. I'm trying to not let it get too deep, so I'm out there every couple of hours.

The leather on these 6 yr old Blundstones feels exactly like plastic so at least they are waterproof.

All good points, and had I known from the beginning I would have skipped them all and gone straight to Viberg.

Something we all wish we knew it the beginning. Not just Viberg for boots. but for any high end footwear maker (EG, etc.).
