I need to show this to my wife - I seem a comparative model of restraint!

Awesome boots.

Who amongst us keeps their shoes in original boxes. My wife got on me when returning from vacation, I opted to throw my gym clothes away in order to pack my new shoe purchases in our luggage in their original boxes. Is it just me. I repack my shoes in their boxes with full cedar shoe trees after wearing them.

I didn't trust shipping overseas.

I do, if for no other reason than I just lack the space and it's easier to stack boxes on shelves and I wouldn't want to stack shoes outside of boxes on top of other shoes.

@MoosicPa - unreal. At first I was like oh he has like 8 or 9 pairs of awesome boots, and then quickly realized I was looking at all singles. YOU ARE BALLER.

Yes it seems to have gotten out of control some what. I didn't realize I have that many pair of EG boots.... oh well, it could be worse.... I could have NO EG boots... tongue.gif

I personally think a man can't have too many shoes. My biggest disappointment is when I don't have the right pair to express my mood.

Very nice indeed @Prince of Paisley

Are those on a leather or comfort sole?

Thanks Lucido - I got the rubber sole on these.

Roger, what do you do to prepare your boots for the rough Canadian winter? And to keep them looking good through out the season with all the slush and salt? Sno-seal?

For the most part just normal cleaning and polishing. I don't like heavy water proofing agents on smooth calf. I got this stuff from Skoak called Bergol Piz (I think) that I have used on grain leather and it seems to work well, but leaves a dull finish.

In the worst of winter weather I go for my hardest - wearing boots: Zug, C-XL and grain. I still want a pair of C-XL dress boots.
