at breakfast i was still thinking dainite.  went to the closet, saw the dry pavement outside and i was like "ah what the heck" (well that and i was itching to put this recently acquired used pair of carmina shell bal boots a whirl)

oooops!

good thing is, i dont' think it was soaked.  just mildly wet; because it's half dry now after being back indoors for 45 mins.

Glad to hear that. Utah leather is soft like butter. Beautiful leather and nice feeling. I was very surprise at it.

Speaking of bad weather boots. It has been pouring rain in California.

Okay, I admit it - two pairs of EG boots arrive in the same week is a bit over the top. If I stand accused of wretched excess, I shall offer no defence. This second pair I picked up from a fellow forumite.  I was on the fence that they were too close to my G&G Burnhams, but the shades are different enough (to me) that I am not concerned about duplication.

EG Newmarket in Hazel Antique - darkened juuuuust a bit by me on arrival.

Don't feel bad Roger, there are plenty of us that fit the wretched excess mold! I was also guilty this week.
