Anyone take the plunge in for the Jodphurs yet and just hope that they've been fixed properly?

Also, does it look like to anyone else that the shoe is more of a right angle triangle than a curve at the front? It's going to be hard to get slim jeans to fit over them. Any idea what the ideal leg opening would be?
I plan to purchase the Jodhpurs. I have been told they will go into production in 9 days and I will get them in 3-4 weeks.

Just received the boots. Holy ****, the details he put into this... He included personalised messages and xertifcates and stickers on the bottom of the boot. He also included metal toe taps and rubber soles along with a couple screws. Suede is amazing and boot is perfect.
So you're saying the topy sole and toe taps are not on the boot? Does the shoe just have a leather sole to start?

We're gonna need some thorough reviews of these, guys. Lots of us are on the fence whether to cop or not.

Dark walnut would not be an option, just a "reference" to see how light/dark the actual walnut is in comparison. At least that's my understanding.

Hey guys, a few questions:

Would the instep on these be low enough? I have rather flat-ish feet and I don't like feeling my boots "flop." The SLP Jodphurs in size 41 are a perfect fit for me.

Is the shaft of the boots (mostly the chelseas) slim enough to be worn with 15cm leg openings (SLP D02, D01), with the pant over the boot? This is a dealbreaker for me, as I really dislike tucking pants into chelseas and jodphurs.

OK, just received my pair. They are nice.

Lots of photos with comments below:

Box and thank you from Lian, apology for delay.

contents:
Box
Boots
2 x Dust bags
2 x topy
3x toe taps
10 x screws
Thank you note
Note signed by the guy who made them
Receipt

Name of maker and dated.

Paper wrapping and dustbags, 1 bag empty, 1 including Topy's and toe taps

Each pair stuffed with tissue paper and in individual bags.

I don't personally find sole comparisons helpful but I know some people do. I figured most people are familar with CPs or at least the margom sole.
Size 45 S.E.F. compared to size 44 Achilles

On feet - denim opening is 7.2" on a size 45 chelsea. They fit over the shaft with plenty of room.

Some initial thoughts:

Colour is a bit darker than I was expecting. It's not really a bad thing or a good thing, just darker.

They feel solid and well made, they have a good weight but aren't heavy by any means.
I will definitely be adding the Topy's and toe taps - I feel like this should be an option when they are manufactured. If they're being given to us anyway then why not have the option to have them put on before shipping?

Sizing - I am a pretty typical US 12 (nikes) and Italian 44 (CP's, though achilles are super snug) with the occasional 45 (W+H) and 11.5 (Vans). The 45 chelsea fit comfortably right out of the box, I'm getting some heel slippage with regular athletic socks. I imagine with thick socks they'd fit a lot better/pretty perfect but I rarely wear thick socks. If I order some side zips I am thinking I will order the 44 although I've only been wearing the chelseas around my house for about an hour so take that how you will.

@OccultaVexillum Those are the tans, right? Not sure if it's the lighting, but they do look darker compared to Bertdinner's recent pics.
With regards to sizing, I think 44 or 44.5 might have prob been best for you?

44.5 would be perfect but from memory he doesn't (or at least wasn't) doing half sizes.
They are tan and yeh they appear darker than other peoples pictures and the ones Lian had put up. All the photos are in natural light and pretty accurate to how they appear in person. I obviously expect some variation in the colour between boots so it's not a big deal, esp since I have the CP tan chelseas on order anyway.
