Topy's. You get a cobbler to attach them to the front of the boot. Basically, they file away the leather and cut the topy to fit so that it is flush with the rest of the sole.

Depends where you live and what kind of weather you wear them. If you plan on wearing them in rain and snow or whatever then I would do it. Just stops it being as slippery and won't kill the sole quite as quick, if you're only wearing them on decent weather then I wouldn't really bother. It doesn't cost much to get done either way though. Just make sure it's somebody who knows what they are doing as some people will just glue it right on to the sole without cutting anything away.
Could you wear them and beat them up and get it topy'd? Would that have the same effect as to having it resoled or no?
Anyone here in Toronto a size 39-40 wiling to let me try a left shoe on? Haha Ill even pay 5$ to let me try them on. Im a size 40 in CP achilles and I am aware that I shouldn go down half a size, but I also have a diff pair of chelseas in 39.5 and they give me corns. Frustrating as hell.
