Jantzen question

Thread Starter
Does anybody know how long this business has been around? I ask cause when I skimmed through Dress for Success, they mentioned Jantzen as a reputable brand. And, right now, I'm looking through some older magazines, and they have advertisements for Jantzen as a men apparel brand. Obviously, these two companies are different but how can they have the same name? Isn't there some copyright issues here? And, does anybody know how the Jantzen we suppport got its name in the first place?

yes, i remember from my childhood in south carolina, we drove by a Jantzen mill all the time. i think it was a swimwear factory. Jantzen Tailor's name probably comes from the concatenation of (phonetically) Jan Tzen. whether those are words or a name i have no idea. the chinese language is greek to me...the more i learn about it, the more confused i get. don't know about the copyright/trademark issue, especially internationally. i know the words 'confusingly similar' come into play when determining infringement. it's probably not an issue until jantzen tailor becomes a big enough fish. /andrew
