Truman Boots - Page 2

^^Thanks for passing that on. As I said, the boots look good for the most part, maybe a bit more "workboot" than Viberg's service boot with an unstructured toe, but again, not necessarily a bad thing. There's definitely room for new entrants in the market, with Viberg's production being pretty limited and prices pretty high. If he can get hold of some unusual leathers but keep prices under $5-600 he'll have a winner I think...

Personally, for the price, I would take Vince's boots over Viberg all day every day. I like the fact that they are more work boot-ish, because they are built to last (no pun intended) and really take a beating.

Viberg boots do everything that Truman boot does. But I believe people are willing to pay a premium for the design and pedigree.

I bet they do. However, Truman is in the same price range as nick's and whites who have both been around for much much longer, are heavily reviewed and put out a similar, if not better, product.

I do not own a pair of Viberg boots. I just meant that for the price and quality it seems that Truman boots are a far better deal. I personally see no reason to spend $700+ on Vibergs, when I can get something that is the same level of quality. Also it's nice to support a small, American boot maker. If people want to pay $300 dollars more for an almost identical boot then fine. To each their own.

I really like White's, but it's always nice to see someone new step into the market.

i like your observation that trumans are more work boot-ish. i can't take my mind off your waxed flesh! can u put up some pics of u wearing them? bet they look incredible with jeans!

Here are two different angles. They are kind of dirty at the moment because I've been wearing them all day.

Viberg has gone to goodyear welt now and its not sitting well with many of their fans. If trumans are similar to what viberg used to be and yet priced lower, they could drive a hard bargain

It's just an option. They have't "gone to goodyear welt."
