Unless you're in Chicago and want to use Despos, or in NYC and want to use one of the tailors there, there aren't that many other options though. If you want good bespoke tailoring, most of what you'll find comes from traveling tailors.
The one commonality of all those houses you listed is that they're small and independent. Small makers have a harder time weathering through storms in a city -- a few orders drop and suddenly it's very unprofitable to return. Bigger houses often have a different kind of client, and they can get through those dry spells bettter. A&S, for example, can get a customer coming in to order 40 suits at a time. Even the average customer will order 7 or 8 suits. That's not likely for a small tailoring house.
Big SR houses have been visiting on a regular basis for years. Granted, every custom clothing company has horror stories (not just bespoke, and not just traveling). That kind of comes with the territory. I don't know if you're completely risk free if you're just using a local clothier.
