I'm a man who likes his coffee or, more specifically, espresso. I graduated from crap like Starbucks to local coffee companies and regional chains to "upscale" like Illy but have found my company with Coffee People. Their Black Tiger and Coffee People's Best blends are fantastic for espresso, perhaps some of the best I've had.

I usually use a small Braun espresso machine to make my daily morning double-shot. Ideally I'd love an honest to God Italian machine and probably will end up buying one in another few years. For coffee, I like french presses and the traditional Costa Rican drip method known as a "choreador":

I'd love to hear which companies people go with for their espresso. I'll give Intelligentsia a shot.

I had some unbelievable organic Peruvian coffee the other day at a restaurant. Wish I could remember the name but it made the top 5 all-time list.

where did you by this? I've been looking for one for a while

They sell them just about anywhere down here but you could probably make one yourself: http://www.runnerduck.com/coffee_maker.htm I'm not sure where you'd buy one stateside as a quick check on ebay yielded nothing. If you're set on getting one, PM me and I'll look into stores that will ship one out. Worse case scenario is that I could send one to you in Dec.

For the time being, I'm using Starbucks, but to be honest getting pretty sick of it.

Maybe I'll try some Illy...every time I have it, it's delicious...

No problem. I'll look around some time this week and figure out how much one will run. They usually come in gift sets but I'm sure I can find one solo.

I use a plastic cone and paper filter, espresso fine grind, but plain ol' drip method. I try a different coffee almost every time, I like the variety.

My favorite is espresso coffee beans that I buy from La Boulange bakery here in San Francisco. I use a Capresso coffee maker (not an espresso machine).
